Dr. Jayesh Patel was born in South Africa, and he lived there until 1999. He then moved to the United States, gradually moving up the east coast and finally landing in Westborough, Massachusetts where he’s lived for over 15 years. He graduated from Westborough High School and went to Boston University for his undergraduate studies. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology, and pursued graduate studies in Physiology, earning his Masters of Science from New York Medical College. Subsequently, Dr. Patel returned to complete his dental education at the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine, D.M.D. degree, magna cum laude.
While in dental school, Dr. Patel served as a teaching assistant for removable prosthodontics, occlusion, and endodontics. He has also performed research, publishing a study in 2017 looking at a novel pharmaceutical agent in the treatment of periodontitis in the Journal of Clinical Periodontology. Upon graduation from dental school, Dr. Patel was awarded the Hanau Best of the Best Prosthodontic award, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Dental Implant Student award, and the Oral and Craniofacial Biology Predoctoral Research Award.
Dr. Patel is certified in the latest of technologies including Cerec and Invisalign, and he is committed to continuing education to bring better care to all of his patients.
Dr. Patel loves giving back to his community, often volunteering in his free time at local foodbanks, community events such as Boston’s Christmas in the City, and going to Panama for international dental mission work. He enjoys the outdoor activities that New England has to offer, and can often be found biking, hiking, and playing tennis.
